Sober Diving Center is a PADI 5 Star shop on the main street of Jungutbatu, a minute's walk from the beach. It was set up in 2019 by its owner, Kan, a PADI instructor, and the team speaks English, Indonesian, Spanish, French, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Daily trips go out on two 15-seat speedboats, each with a radio, first aid and oxygen. Fun dives are guided at four divers per guide, with lunch, fruit and drinks on board. The site list runs from Manta Point and Crystal Bay to the north coast drifts and the far sites at Malibu and Batu Abah.

Courses usually run at one instructor to three students. The shop teaches PADI specialties including Sidemount and Self-Reliant, a one-day manta and mola conservation course, and freediving in its pool. Guesthouse rooms next door look over the pool.
