About Sental

Sental is a drift dive along the healthy reef of Nusa Penida's north coast, a little beyond the sites of Ped and SD. A gentle to moderate current carries you along past turtles, moray eels and reef sharks, with mola mola possible from July to September.

Sental lies on the north coast of Nusa Penida, a little further along the shore from Ped and SD Point, its better known neighbours. A healthy reef lines this whole coast, and Sental is dived as a drift along it.

The current is usually gentle to moderate, enough to carry you along without rushing, which makes it a relaxed reef cruise. Turtles are common, along with moray eels, lionfish, scorpionfish, crabs and many nudibranchs, and blacktip and whitetip reef sharks pass along the edge. From July to September, when the water cools, mola mola are occasionally seen off the north coast too.

It suits divers with a little drift experience, and the boat ride from Nusa Lembongan is short.
