Sea Familia Dive Academy opened its Labuan Bajo facility in 2022 at Famindo Hub on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, extending an education-first operation its founders built in Jakarta from 2019. It runs PADI and NAUI courses from Open Water through Divemaster and Instructor Training, plus DAN first aid classes, and calls itself a Dive Academy rather than a dive center to signal that focus. Charters run on a small liveaboard fleet, including the red-sailed phinisi Radhia Nitya alongside Magia, Prana and Neomi.

Its Komodo trips reach the park's signature sites: Tatawa Kecil and Castle Rock for advanced drift dives in strong current, and Makasar Reef, a gentler slope suited to newer divers and manta sightings. Instructors run skills checks and safety briefings before each dive, matching the academy's focus on training standards over volume.
