About Suana

Suana is an east coast dive on Nusa Penida, off the fishing village of Suana. A shallow sloping reef leads to a coral wall below 12 m, with turtles, triggerfish, trevally, morays and juvenile reef sharks.

Suana is named after the traditional fishing village on Nusa Penida's east coast, whose beach is lined with sailing boats. Scuba Junkie's boats reach it in 20 to 30 minutes.

Divers drop onto a shallow sloping reef and swim with the reef on their right until it becomes a coral wall below 12 m. Mantascape describes the east sites as slopes with sea fans and many turtles.

Expect turtles, schools of red-toothed triggerfish, trevally, morays and macro life. Scuba Junkie regularly finds juvenile whitetip reef sharks under table corals here.
