About Siladen

Siladen is a wall dive on the southwest side of Siladen, the smallest island in Bunaken National Park: a steep, colourful coral wall to about 35 metres, usually dived on a gentle drift, with turtles, cuttlefish, nudibranchs and schooling fusiliers.

Siladen is the smallest island in Bunaken National Park, just northeast of Bunaken itself, and its main dive runs along the wall on its southwest side. The wall is steep, dropping to about 35 metres, and its coral growth is some of the best in the park.

A gentle current usually carries you along, and with the park's good visibility the dive feels like a slow panorama. Turtles rest on the wall, cuttlefish hover in the shallows and schools of fusiliers stream past, while the coral holds plenty of small life, including pyjama and blue dragon nudibranchs.

Because the current is usually mild, Siladen suits newer divers as well as experienced ones. Shops on Bunaken often dive it on their morning trips, as it is close by.
