Dive Center Description
Set at Seilale, a village on the Nusaniwe peninsula reached by boat from Ambon city, Ambon Dive Resort takes a small number of guests at a time. Stays are full board and built around diving. Staff speak English, Indonesian and French, and the resort keeps an editing space for photographers and videographers. Its house reef is a sandy slope covered in sponges where frogfish, seahorses, nudibranchs, octopus and cuttlefish are found.
Boats run to the drop offs at Namatu and Depan Tupa, walls of hard coral, gorgonian sea fans and sponges. Drift dives at Pintu Kota, Tanjung Mahia, Tanjung Kilang and Tanjung Hukurila can carry current and bring pelagic fish past. Around 30 muck sites line Ambon Bay itself. The resort opens to guests from early September to late May.
