About Pantee Peunateung

Pantee Peunateung is a deep wall on the west coast of Pulau Weh, reached by boat from Iboih and Gapang. The main section starts around 25 metres and drops past 40, so much of the dive is near recreational limits.

Divers ride powerful currents through rivers of fusiliers alongside tuna, schools of barracuda, giant sweetlips and snapper, with Napoleon wrasse and moray eels. Hammerhead sharks are occasionally reported.

Depth and current make it a site for experienced, advanced certified divers.
