About Pelawangan

Pelawangan is a gentle slope of hard coral, rock and sand off Kuta, south Lombok, dived at 5 to 15 metres, with rock formations further out reaching 25 metres.

Pelawangan, off Kuta on Lombok's south coast, is a gentle slope of hard coral, rocks and sand. Most of the dive is between 5 and 15 metres. Further out the slope gives way to larger rock formations that reach about 25 metres.

Schools of batfish of several species gather here with schooling snappers, lionfish and many juvenile fish. Lobsters and octopus hide in the rocks, and the slope is good for macro, with nudibranchs, flatworms and porcelain crabs.
