About Marsha Wall

Marsha Wall is a strong-current drift on the Sumbawa side of the Alas Strait, dived from Lombok, with a negative entry, giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, barracuda and reef sharks.

Marsha Wall lies on the Sumbawa side of the Alas Strait: a 50-minute drive from Kuta Lombok to Telong Elong, then a 45-minute speedboat crossing. Divers make a quick, negative entry into the current that splits around the island, which takes them to the wall. At about 32 metres a plateau drops away to 100 metres.

Large boulders on the wall give divers something to hold in the current while schools of amberjack, giant trevally, skipjack tuna and barracuda pass, with dogtooth tuna, Spanish mackerel and reef sharks among them. The drift runs for about 300 metres at an average depth of 25 metres before the wall ends in a gently sloping plateau, where bamboo sharks rest.
