About Gili Batu

Gili Batu is a rock 2.5 kilometres off Lombok's south coast near Ekas, the tip of an 80-metre underwater hill, with current, surge, reef sharks, tuna and schooling mobulas.

Gili Batu, rock island, is a single rock breaking the surface out in the blue, 2.5 kilometres from Lombok's shore with the cliffs of Ekas behind it. It is the tip of a broad underwater hill 80 metres high, and diving it feels like being in the middle of the ocean.

It is a big fish site for advanced divers ready for current and surge. Expect reef sharks and tuna, and with luck schooling mobula rays.
