About Boro Bagik

Boro Bagik is a group of three dive sites off Kuta, south Lombok, from boulders and arches at 10 to 20 metres to steep pinnacles with narrow canyons at 30 metres, with mantas in season.

Boro Bagik, off Kuta on Lombok's south coast, is dived as three sites. Boro Bagik 1 is a landscape of huge boulders that flattens into a plateau at 20 metres, where cuts in the ground make overhangs covered in soft coral, with swim-throughs and arches. Boro Bagik 2 is a steep slope with canyons, where surge pushes divers in and out. Boro Bagik 3 is two steep pinnacles split by very narrow canyons, where rough current and surge make the dive challenging.

Lobsters and other crustaceans fill the overhangs, with schools of snappers, Napoleon wrasse and stingrays. The canyons hold moray eels, pufferfish and porcupinefish, and the pinnacles bring sea fans, humphead parrotfish and whitetip reef sharks. Manta rays pass in season.
