Scuba Republic Raja Ampat is an SSI Diamond Center in Waisai focused on making remote Indonesian diving accessible without cutting safety or quality. Since 2014 it has run land-based dive safaris, homestay packages and liveaboard trips in a social, friendly atmosphere, with staff working in English, German, French and Indonesian.

Diving centers on the Dampier Strait, including Cape Kri, where one of the highest fish counts ever recorded on a single dive was logged. Prime season runs October to April. A sister center operates in Komodo. The Waisai base holds a 4.7 rating from about 180 reviews.
