Site description

Pantee Peunateung is an impressively formed deep wall on the west coast of Pulau Weh, reached by boat from Iboih and Gapang. The main wall section starts around 25 metres and drops past 40, placing much of the dive near recreational limits.

Divers ride powerful currents through rivers of colourful fusiliers alongside tuna, schools of barracuda, giant sweetlips and blubber lip snappers, with napoleon wrasse and occasional hammerhead shark reports. Depth and current make it a site for experienced divers.
