Dive Center Description
Lazy Turtle Dive Alor is a PADI operation on Jalan Raya at Alor Kecil, looking out at the Pantar Strait. It calls itself a small, friendly dive centre and caps each trip at six guests with two guides. Dives run from a speedboat named Naughty Nudi, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. It teaches the PADI Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Nitrox courses, and its season runs mid-March to mid-December.
Sites are picked each morning against tidal flow, weather and group ability, with dives aimed at sixty minutes or longer. The team heads north to Munaseli for hammerheads, dives Apuri for sea apples, and enters Gua Wolang, where flashlight fish and shark eggs sit in the dark. The Cathedral, a boulder wall off Pura, is another stop. Current through the strait runs strong and shifts fast.
