Bali Diving Academy is one of the island's oldest dive operations, established in 1991 and holding a perfect safety record since opening. Four centers in Sanur, Tulamben, Nusa Lembongan and Pemuteran cover most of Bali between them, with a majority-Indonesian team teaching in seven languages including Italian, Japanese and Mandarin.

Courses run from Open Water to instructor level, with freediving and underwater photography alongside. The center collaborates with marine biologists on reef restoration, and its bases put the Liberty wreck, Menjangan, Nusa Penida's mantas and Pemuteran within easy reach. It holds a 4.8 rating.
