Cedric and Anne opened La P'tite Kepa on the small island of Kepa in 1998, and Tom and Yle manage its diving today. The resort calls itself an island hideaway surrounded by clear water and coral reefs, and has stayed deliberately small. Guests sleep in traditional huts or in bungalows, with three locally inspired meals included each day. Alongside scuba diving it offers freediving coaching and snorkelling trips.

Most dive days run two morning dives from a wooden speedboat with a roof deck and a toilet, crossing the strait to reefs, walls and slopes. Strong, shifting currents feed these reefs, so site choice and timing matter. Visibility can pass 40 metres and the water averages 28C. Bigeye trevally, dogtooth tuna, Napoleon wrasse and hammerheads pass through, while rhinopias, pygmy seahorses and frogfish hold to the reef.
