Site description
Coral Garden in Belongas Bay, South Lombok, is a popular and accessible dive site known for its calm conditions and stunning coral landscapes. The site features a chain of small submerged pinnacles starting at about 25 meters depth, with beautiful soft corals in yellow, orange, and purple hues, whip corals, gorgonians, and anemones. The sandy patches in between the pinnacles provide habitats for a variety of marine creatures, including nudibranchs, shrimps, and schools of small barracudas.
The site is generally sheltered from large waves and strong currents, making it suitable for intermediate divers. Visibility averages 15-20 meters. Coral Garden offers a relaxing dive with plenty of small critters and vibrant coral cover, ideal for photographers and those wanting a peaceful dive experience without the intensity of nearby big wall dive sites.
